A Kubernetes StorageClass describes a class of storage that can be provisioned dynamically.
It lets a Persistent Volume Claim request storage without naming a specific Persistent Volume.
Common uses
- Provisioning disks from a cloud provider
- Provisioning replicated storage through systems such as Longhorn
- Choosing between fast, cheap, replicated, or local storage
